This Georgia paper & packaging mill needed a new ventilation system to better exhaust the high heat that results from the papermaking process. The very hot air was being trapped inside the building leading to temperatures of up to 141.1° F.
Moffitt determined that adding natural ventilators would allow the hot air to more easily evacuate the building. The large size and construction of the building made it a prime candidate for the MoffittVent™ natural ventilators.
Moffitt Mechanical provided full turn-key service for this facility; designing the system, providing the equipment, and installing the ventilators. Moffitt expertly handled this project from start to finish.
RESULTS
After retrofitting eight of large MoffittVent™ natural ventilators onto the roof, temperatures were immediately more comfortable inside. In fact, temperatures dropped by over 20° near the ceiling. This leads to a more manageable 120° F at the roof. Of course, this meant it was even cooler at the work floor.
